Ethnologist Boris Kuhar talks about his dynamic life and career, which involved journalism, ethnology, museology and filmmaking. First he was employed by the new Ljubljana Television, and between 1963 and 1987, he led the Slovene Ethnographic Museum. He greatly expanded the museum’s exhibition activities and established the Museum of Non-European Cultures in Goričane. He made the first films produced by Slovene museums and showed them at exhibitions. In his journeys to Africa he filmed travelogues for the television series Around the World with a Camera. His narration is visually complemented by the film excerpts from the museum and Slovenia Television production. The film offers an insight into Slovene museum and media environment of the second half of the 20th century.

Nađa Valentinčič Furlan is a curator of ethnographic film at the Slovene Ethnographic Museum in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She produces ethnographic films and films on ICH. She is a member of AnthroVision editorial board.
