The 31st International Festival of Ethnological Film was officially opened on October 3rd at 7 PM, at the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade. The Festival was opened by director Predrag Todorović whose films have garnered success at festivals both in Serbia nad abroad – the International Festival of Ethnological Film among others. The opening ceremony was accompanied by a performance of students of Bojana Nikolić’s school of traditional song, along with their teacher Jovana Zukanović. After the opening ceremony, the audience was able to see the films Marija+Toma, When the Devil Lived all Around Us, MADA or the Story of the First Man. The screenings at the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade and the Yugoslav Film Archive started at 4PM already, and the argentinian director Ruben Guzman was present at the screening of his film Noise of Time.
