Typically Banatian villages, famous for their wide streets, large yards and packed barns, are practically extinct. Nobody wants to be a peasant and everyone is moving to towns, leaving the hot soup at noon, hanging out on benches in front of the house and the endless plain. Dušan replaced the Banatian backpipe with an electric guitar forty years ago, but has remained devoted to his home. Every day, he shaves at the village barbershop and sups his hot soup at noon, but he does not sit on the bench in front of his house in the evening, but rather in his blues cafe.
