Every region in Europe has its type of bread. In Vojvodina, this is the cipovka, the recipe for which and the preparation method have been passed from one generation to another. Known for its prolonged freshness, the cipovka is being baked in masonry, the so-called “Turkish” stoves. In the homes of Vojvodina, the cipovka is served on special occasions and for special guests. The film is a study of social movements presented through the example of a relationship with a bread type of cipovka. It shows how the daily bread of the multinational Vojvodina has become a feast for special occasions, and an element of the intangible cultural heritage of Serbia.
